In celebration of the histories and contributions of historically marginalized identities, the heritage months and identity acknowledgements throughout the year are an opportunity to commemorate the people, cultures and traditions each one represents.

Women’s History Month is celebrated in the United States from March 1 to March 31 each year with International Women’s Day on March 8. During this time we highlight the contributions and achievements of women throughout history and contemporary society.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated in the United States from September 15 to October 15 each year. During this time we celebrate the contributions and influence of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the nation’s culture, history, and achievements.
