After delivering a keynote at the University of Connecticut, Rosann Santos CPC spoke about the importance of discussing Hispanic Heritage every month.
Rosann Santos CPC was at the UCONN Storrs campus delivering a keynote address on how to incorporate inclusive leadership into their day-to-day interactions with their teams. The audience consisted of campus leaders, deans, provosts, and VPs.
One of most important aspects of inclusive leadership is building connections with people who are different from you. At the midway point through Hispanic Heritage Month, she noticed that there really wasn’t a presence of Hispanic Heritage across the campus the way she expected, nor has she seen a strong presence in other locations she’s visited.
She recorded a video to post on her YouTube Channel about how it is important to celebrate Hispanic Heritage, every month and not just one month out of the year.

Rosann explains how Hispanic Heritage, African History and Women’s History should be honored every day. In certain states such as Florida and Texas, books which cover aspects of these topics have been banned.
